Reggaeton Music Box Set
The final deliverables for this project were three album sleeves, a catalog and box to store the albums and catalog.
I chose to create my box album set on the Spanish genre, Reggaeton. I enjoy the very expressive, fast paced nature of the music as well as the exciting sound. The genre is often described as a combination of rap, hip hop, reggae and singing. The word Reggaeton was formed from the word reggae plus the suffix -ton.
My main goal for this project was to match the visuals to the sound of the music. I decided to create vibrant paintings to captured the spirit of the music. I curated the songs for the three albums so that each album had its own unique mood and visual identity.
The Fiesta album is very upbeat and fast paced.
The Amor album places emphasis on the feelings of love.
The Acústico album is very tranquil and relaxing.
